Annie author of Surviving Safeguarding tragically lost her eldest son to suicide earlier this year, and as a result she cannot work at the moment.

Prior to suffering these tragic events, Annie had started making waves in the field of social work & had become a national pioneer of changing practice of social workers across the U.K., focussing on the re-balancing of power between practitioner & service user & becoming author of the now famous blog 'Surviving Safeguarding', helping people across the country through the child protection procedures.

In developing all this, Annie came off benefits to become self employed, a difficult decision in itself, and as a result of what has happened she now cannot return to work, at least for some time to come.

In light of that, we're raising money to give Annie & her children as good a Xmas as possible & hope to relieve some of the financial burden that many of us are going to face in the next 6 weeks, but for some will be even harder in such tragic circumstances.
