16 years ago we agreed to sponsor a little girl in the Philippines every month we sent enough money through a charity to look after her basic living expenses and enable her to attend school. During this time her mother passed away through illness and Grandma has kept her family together. We exchange short letters and just have a glimpse if each other's lives.....now she is older and has a job in a factory the sponsorship ended through the charity...but of course we have kept in touch! She has a problem with transport, getting to her job is expensive and it's quite a distance but she has no choice. Her salary is barely enough to support the family and they need every penny.
She is proud and independent. We have talked about her getting a motor bike (mo ped) a common transport in the Phillipine but although I can help I can't afford to fund it all....i wish I could as I would without hesitation! So we need help to keep a young lady safe and independent and in work. Please help me to make a solution for someone who is doing her very best... all on her own....
