I am raising money for a small Kindergarten in the Kangemi slum in Nairobi. I have grown up in Kenya and have volunteered at the Kindergarten for the last 2 years. We have 24 children ranging in age from 3-7 years. They come from the local slum and parents pay what they can afford - for most that is nothing. Every day the children are educated and fed with money from the local church, without the school they would be forgotten. For many, this one simple meal is the only meal they will get in a day. Despite all the challenges these kids face they always have a smile on their face and are eager to learn. This money will go towards providing supplies such as pens and paper as well as sanitation such as clean running water and toilets.
