Beth and Kin had to evacuate their home with their three children, driving along roads flanked with tree-high flames. Beth's mother was with them. They only just got out. They are now staying in a guest house in the city of Coimbra and have learnt that their whole property, their home, workshop, studio and land has been razed to the ground. What is more their whole community in the valley of Ben Feita has been burnt to the ground. At least 12 households have lost their homes. It is complete devastation. We wish to raise as much as we possibly can as swiftly as we can to allow Beth and Kin to regroup, to buy essentials such as clothes for the children etc and to see if they cannot start again in some way in Portugal where they have been settled for the past 8 years..
