Poppy is an important part of our family and we need a little help to help her! My parents and I foster my brothers four children and have done for almost six years. I lived in London before this and was studying to become a teacher. I moved back to my home town to help when it because obvious that it wasn't a temporary situation. I'd been in London for ten years and so it was difficult to leave everything. What I got out of the move was a dog, something I'd always wanted but couldn't have in London. I research the best breed to have with children, found a breeder l, ensured all Heath checks were complete and (ironically 5 years ago today) chose a small bundle of chocolate love. I did a good job. Poppy is more than we could ever have hoped for! She has made us laugh through some very difficult times (fostering is not always easy), licked away countless tears (adults and children's), shared in pivotal memories and loved us all especially the children even when they have been difficult. She has enriched our lives and touched all of our herats! About a month ago she started to limp, I thought she had just pulled a muscle. After investigation, we were referred to a specialist who said that she has very bad hip dysplasia and must be in a lot of pain, probably has been for some time. The vet was kind but explained that without the operation her quality of life will quickly deteriorate. I am determined to find the money to help her have a happy life, this amount will pay for one hip without all the medicine and rehab. Anything would help! She has given us so much it's the least we could do!
