We recently lost our father who was an NHS worker to Covid-19. Me and Josh then went for a ride and a drive together for our dad. We went out with smiles and tears but we were two brothers, doing it for our dad. Everything was going well and in a split second it was all over. I saw my brothers bike flip and running up to the roundabout where he was laying was the longest minute of my life.

I looked down at my brothers lifeless body and thought the worst. "This can't be happening again" Then i saw his eyes open as he was struggling to breath. I thanked God and told him that he must of knocked the wind out of himself. He then whispered the words that will haunt me forever "Joe I cant move my legs". A complete stranger to us named Clark then called the ambulance and I truly believe he saved my brothers life due to his quick reactions. Josh was then taken to Royal London Hospital.

After numerous X-Rays and MRI's the extent of the damage done was listed. Josh sustained 2 broken vertebrae in his neck, 9 vertebrae in his back, 9 broken ribs, a fractured wrist, a cracked sternum, a broken collarbone, a broken eye socket and a ruptured lung. Some of the vertebrae he broke in his back were pushing against his spinal cord which has caused severe damage. He has been told that he might not walk again, so I am raising funds for things such as a wheel chair, ramps, access into and around his home, a new bed and any other adjustments and adaptations that he will need to maintain normality in his life.

Josh is 31 years old and loves life, loves his family and his amazing partner. I have no doubt in my mind that he will prove the doctors wrong and will walk again, but right now he needs as much help as he can get.
