I've raised £500 to keep the Marc O'Shea Bursary going.

Our brother Marc lost his life to suicide in September 2017 as most of you know he was an actor and although we may be biased a damn fine one too.
On Marc's first anniversary we held a showing of Marc's most well remembered film "You, Me & Marley" in Newcastle Community Cinema which was attended by some of the other cast members as well as many of our family & friends. On this night we made enough money to start the Marc O'Shea Bursary which contributes to the cost of a young person to attend a performing arts course in conjunction with The West Belfast Partnership. Unfortunately this money ran out after the 2021 award, so we as a family decided that we wanted Marc's legacy to continue and decided to try to find ways to fundraise.
We held a pub quiz in April 2022 and raised £560.00 which will allow the Bursary to go for another year and part of a second year.
Joe came up with the idea in March of climbing Slieve Donard every day in May to raise funds but with working full time he can't commit to the full 31 days, as this would be a strain on his body both physically and mentally so instead he's decided to do 21 days. When he announced this on facebook he was inundated with promises of company on these walks, which he is going to hold you all too!!
He's already done two of his twenty one day challenge, so just 19 more to go.
We would be grateful for any donations that you can make, it doesn't matter how big or small they are, every penny counts. We want Marc's name to be remembered for as long as possible and one of the things that we are most proud of as a family was his amazing talent as an actor.
