On Saturday 25th June I will attempt to run 104.8 miles (the equivalent of 4 marathons) in 24 hours. I will be doing this to raise money to buy 2 defibrillators for Monmouth Comprehensive School. The money raised will purchase and install both these defibrillators and also train staff in how to use them correctly.

This challenge will be completed in the form of the infamous ‘backyard ultra style’ where I will complete 4.35 miles every hour, on the hour, for 24 hours!

This particular challenge is very personal to me, having lost a friend to heart failure after a rugby match. I have felt the pain of such tragedies that could be prevented with vital equipment like a defibrillator.
