After nearly 6 months at Walkergate Park hospital, John has made significant improvements. With all your generous donations made so far we have progressed well with the adaptions to his home, his wife, Diane can't wait to have him home. On 15th March 2023, there is a football match at The Stadium of Light, where Sunderland FC will take on Sheffield United. John played for both these teams and he loved playing for them both, at different times in his career. We hope this game will help with fundraising for his continued rehabilitation.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated to Macphail's Miles. In just 31 days we hit our new target of £20,000. To say we are blown away by everyone’s generosity is an understatement. To read all your wonderful comment on our dad has given us all great comfort and we have enjoyed reading them to dad also.
