I've raised £10000 to To fund the remaining costs of the project. Please see at bottom of page, signed and numbered Plaque for every £35.00 given.

My name is Laura Lian. I am a professional artist specialising in sculpture.
I was inspired to create the John Lennon Peace Statue project to help spread John and Yoko’s message of peace and love to the world.
Michele Turner is my admin Manager, and we are both equally committed to ensuring the project is realised.
I have successfully completed the first phase of the Peace Project which involved the sculpting of the John Lennon life-size statue. It has also included the creation of the mould and wax statue ready for casting the final statue in bronze. The pictures below show the progress over the last few months from the completed clay, the making of the mould and the final wax statue.
My thanks to all those who have donated to this first phase and helped me reach this stage of the process.
The next action is to get the statue cast in bronze and launch it at the Glastonbury Festival 26-30 June 2019. We are excited that Michael Eavis (CBE and creator of the Glastonbury Festival) is supporting the project and has been to see the statue as it has been created.
Following this the statue will travel to Liverpool, and will be shown at the historical Heritage Court, St. George's Hall during August including International BeatleWeek Festival between August 1st. -27 August 2019.
General Manager of St George’s Hall, Alan Smith, said: “We’re delighted to host this statue showcasing one of Liverpool’s most-loved sons. In the month of August the city celebrates International Beatle Week and it’s fitting that we welcome this new addition. It’s sure to be a hit and will become a must-visit selfie and Instagram spot.”

A key aspect of the statue being shown will be to collect donations for our nominated charity Warchild, whose Mission is to protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children caught up in war.
War Child was founded in 1993 by film-makers David Wilson and Bill Leeson. On assignment in the former-Yugoslavia they were horrified by the violence and ethnic cleansing they witnessed and especially its impact on children.
War child work with children affected by war in 9 countries and are aiming to reach 260,000 children by 2019.
