Story

On 14th March John Wignall passed away leaving behind his wife Ginny and two sons, Freddie (22 months) and Oliver (8 days).

John was a family man who loved walking with friends and family. John and Gin were walking their way through the Wainwrights, many a time with Freddie in the backpack, braving the British weather. He was the perfect host, spending hours preparing the most delicious meals, you would never go hungry. John had a fantastic knowledge of so many different sports, teams and players, together with his childhood friends he was a season ticket holder for Morecambe F.C.. He loved watching rugby and was a great tennis player, playing at his local Bolton le Sands club. Many people had the pleasure of knowing John and most likely sharing a brew or pint together.

They were in a very exciting time of their lives, enjoying being a family of 4. His sudden death has left his family in shock, especially as there is currently no answers as to why. As well as coming to terms with the emotional loss, there will be a huge amount to navigate practically and in such a frightening time of uncertainty and adjustment we are raising whatever we can to show John's family that they continue to have a wide network of support. Call this fund a buffer; a reassurance; a pot to give them some breathing space to work things out; a fund to give the boys some happy treats; or therapy down the line. A monetary version of a cooked meal or flowers that you might have dropped around if you lived next door to them.

Anything you feel you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Steph and Hazz (Ginny's sisters) and family
