On the 24th of April 2020 our lives changed forever as John; our beloved dad, partner, son, brother, uncle and friend suddenly passed away, with no prior warning. Growing old is a privilege denied to so many, John was moments away from retiring having spent his life teaching his daughters what proper hard work, graft and dedication looked like.

Due to lockdown measures John was unable to have the send off he truly deserved. In lieu of flowers for the funeral, we’d like to do something more permanent. There were many more ‘tee-offs‘ due with Uncle Stu at Willesley Park Golf Club and a lifetime worth of dog walks with Deb and Daphne across Bosworth, Barton and beyond. This is why we are raising money to place a reflection bench and memory tree in two of his ‘special places’.

If we are fortunate enough to have money remaining (once the tree and bench have been purchased and placed in their locations), any leftover funds will be donated to the British Heart Foundation - whose vision is for us to live in a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases.

We miss him every minute of every day, and hope soon his family and friends can reflect on his ‘life in the fast lane’ at the places he loved.
