Sky is my Border Collie and my best friend, she has gotten me through some of the toughest times in my life and I have always put her welfare first.

However I was out yesterday playing with her and while chasing her ball, she stopped midway, whimpered and came limping back on 3 legs...Today the vet has told me that it is definetely a cruciate injury and to get a repair will come to ~£3000 (£2500+VAT)

I'm my wife's full time carer and funds are scarce at the best of times, the cost has me worried sick and wondering how I'm going to fund this operation.

Sky is my solace and the mischevious thing that puts a smile on my face even on the darkest of days, she seems to intuitively know when I need cheering up the most, either by bringing me a toy, or coming up for a cuddle. So its extremely hard seeing her in pain and hopping around on 3 legs.
