Story

On Friday 14th June there was a road traffic incident on the Radford Road, Coventry, tragically as a direct result of this terrible incident 12 year old Keaton Slater lost his life, NO parent should ever have to deal with the trauma of losing a child so young In such terrible circumstances.

Keaton’s family know about this Just Giving page and are very grateful that it is being done as they try and deal this nightmare, they have found themselves in

This fundraiser will help the parents / family with funeral expenses and all other living costs at this terrible time.

All funds raised will give them some time to begin processing and mourn the loss of their son / brother without having the extra burden of worrying about paying for a funeral, bills and going to work etc.....

ALL the money raised will go direct to the parents and screen shots will be provided of transfers via my Facebook and shared in all the local Facebook groups that I shared the JustGiving appeal.

For the benefit of doubt, the money raised can be used by the family however they decide to do so, this could be towards funeral costs or any other financial help the family may need like household bills or allow them to take time off work or even pay for specialist counselling etc...

From my experience of sadly arranging a very similar fundraiser a couple of years ago the fact people will be donating and leaving comments will be of great comfort to the family as it shows they are not alone in there darkest hours.

The original target was £5000 but that was smashed within an one hour, I then set it to £10k and that was reached in 4 hours and the first day total amount just kept on going up and up and before I knew it we were at £30000 just before midnight, I actually could not believe it but the sense of grief being shared not only in Coventry but near and far was very evident, the fund has had donations come in from the rest of the UK, America, Australia, Thailand, Dubai and other places from around the globe.

So here I am on the morning of day 5 and we have raised over £45000, HOW AMAZING IS THAT

THANK YOU

JMD
