Downs Infant School in Brighton is a lovely, welcoming and inclusive school that works hard to give children a voice and a feeling of worth as well as an 'I can do it!' attitude.

Relentlessly championing the needs of the most vulnerable in the community it strives to ensure children feel cared for and teaches them to care for others.

It's a school that welcomes and celebrates the diversity in the community while challenging stereotypes and assumptions that might limit ambition for the children.

But like all state schools, it is grossly under-funded.

To help, I've signed up to run the Brighton Half Marathon on 23rd February 2020.
