Story

Ruthie, beloved wife of John and devoted mum to Cameron and Jamie, sadly lost her brave fight against Aplastic Anaemia (AA) on 8 February this year. After suffering from AA for several years she had been admitted to Ward 34 of Ninewells Hospital, Dundee to undergo a course of treatment designed to mitigate if not cure her, on 8 January.

Sadly, after a successful treatment regime but a very rapid deterioration thereafter she succumbed to the condition and was lost to us, despite the very best efforts of the medical teams looking after her. During her time in Ward 34 she was incredibly well looked after by a wonderful, professional and caring team and it is because our beloved wife and mum was so well looked after by everyone there that John, Cameron and Jamie are running the Great Glasgow Run (Half Marathon) on 30 September 2018 in order to raise funds to assist in the on-going good works of the teams in Ward 34.

We would therefore be grateful for any donations you feel you are able to make, to help us achieve our aim of raising £500.
