Story
Darwen Jubilee Tower was built over 120 years ago to celebrate Queen Victoria's Jubilee and the freeing of the Moors for local people to explore and enjoy the air without pollution.
It has stood as a symbol to freedom and as a much loved trademark of the town.
It is visited by many walkers and runners and is of great sentimental value to ex-Darreners who come from all over the globe to enjoy the walk and the magnificent views.
After all those years exposed to the elements it is in dire need of restoration to preserve it for future generations.
Darwen Rotary have raised over £70,000 to date and we need your help to achieve the target of £100,000
Please make a donation however small it will be welcomed

5 years agoHi Everyone, Thank you to all who have donated and all our previous donors. We have just exceeded £75,000 towards our aim to raise £100,000. You Darreners are a magnificent bunch and with your continued support we are sure the target will eventually be achieved. The present circumstance have rather blunted our fund raising so your help is doubly invaluable. We are working closely with the Council to raise funds from elsewhere but again this has been slowed down by our current circumstances Thank you again and keep safe Darwen Rotary
