On 1st March 2019 my daughter, Jodie was fatally stabbed in the back as she sat in a park with her friends. She was just 17 years old and this was a senseless murder with no clear motive. The police have charged 4 suspects involved in the crime and they will appear at the Old Bailey on 2nd September 2019.

Needless to say this has torn our family apart. I have decided to setup a charity called the Jodie Chesney Foundation. The aim of the charity is to help reduce fatal stabbings in the UK, I have been speaking with local MP's and Councillors and they are going to help me work on initiatives to educate parents and children on the effects of knife crime, in order to help prevent fatal stabbings such as this and reduce knife crime in general.

I have left my job and have now dedicated my life to this charity with the hope that we can help tackle this knife crime epidemic
