We are reaching out to the community, family and friends to help raise much need funds for the Mather family. Sadly in January 2017 out of the blue their youngest daughter Emily age 4 began experiencing headaches and after a visit to the doctors within a few hours she was quickly diagnosed with a rare brain cancer tumour and immediately rushed to Manchester children's hospital. Since arriving Emily has had brain surgery but they were not successful in removing it all so she is having to undergo further extensive tests to see what treatment options are available. It would appear that Emily's best option is to go to America for treatment but the family wont know if this is a viable option for a few more days. Emily is the most adorable, fun, clever and loving laid back 3 year old who always has a smile for everyone she meets. To her parents Emily is their little miracle baby as she's an IVF baby so going through this journey with her is very difficult for them. They also have another older daughter Katie who they have had to leave behind in their home town to concentrate fully on their precious little girl and getting her through this.
As you all know life still continues, bills still need paying and this is adding extra stress on the family as well as the travel and expenses for the elder daughter The family could really do with much needed support to help them through this horrendous situation and if we can take some of the financial burden away from them it would allow them to focus on little Emily and I am sure they would be forever grateful to whatever support you can give.
Cancer is an awful illness and affects mosts families at some point but its particularly hard when its hits an innocent little girl so over the next few months we will be doing lots of fundraising for the family and the wonderful cancer charities.
