#7 of the 7 summits is on!
VERY exciting news which I need a monumental amount of help with please!
Carstensz Pyramid is my last peak of the 7 summits. It has definitely been the hardest one to nail down for a variety of reasons but there is finally light at the end of the tunnel. To find out more about the 7 summits, please head to my website.
Here is my Carstensz story so far:
* January 2018 - 1st expedition cancelled due to my sponsor sadly having to pull out.
* September 2019 - 2nd expedition cancelled 24hrs before we were due to leave the UK due to civil unrest in West Papua.
* February 2020 - 3rd expedition cancelled due to continued civil unrest in West Papua.
* March 2024 - I found out that the funds I paid for the Sept '19 / Feb '20 expedition were then unretrievable which meant a loss of nearly £7,000
* October 2024 - 4th attempt - new in-country agent found and deposit paid before expedition was postponed due to shifting dates.
* March 2025 - 5th attempt - will it happen?
I will quote the Japanese word often spoken by Junko Tabei, the first woman to climb Everest (1975) and complete the 7 summits (1992): Gambatte - (I will) do my best.
And here is where I need your help...
* Personal donations: Every single £ counts and I am eternally grateful for all the support I have been, and am being given. As much as I can't physically take you all with me, you will be with me in spirit as we finally complete this project and, if you wish, I will name check each personal donor on social media before and after the climb.
