Story

Jess Lovibond Therapeutic Services CIC is passionate about changing and improving the lives of children & families who have experienced Domestic Abuse, trauma or Adverse Childhood Experiences.

As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company we offer free family services , interventions & solutions to families in the Swale and Medway areas of Kent. Some of our services include: family therapy, parenting support, parenting groups, mental health help & individual advice, 1-to-1 & online therapy. We rely on fundraising and donations, as well as the generosity of our fantastic volunteers, to enable us to provide free direct therapeutic services to families in need.

We also offer professional services for schools and other organisations who work with vulnerable children and their families. Some of the services we can offer include: a free consulation service; referrals: clinical supervision; high-quality training; workshops; information sharing; bespoke therapeutic plans; and school improvement services (which includes Therapeutic Thinking and Holistic Assessment Framework training). We aim to offer these services at subsadised rates, where possible, through funding and donations.

As experts Contextual Safeguarding (having been promoting for over a decade), we can also provide training in this area - providing resources and systems for understanding and assessing risks. We work with our clients to embed a person-centred, holistic approach into their practice for consistently improved outcomes.

For survivors of Domestic Abuse - we understand! Most of our volunteers and staff have experienced domestic abuse first-hand, which makes us experts in our field. Therefore we have developed our Peer 2 Peer Support Service which helps and supports survivors and their children. This service is designed to make our clients feel at ease and build a positive relationship with someone who knows how it feels to be a survivor.

We also help parents to understand the impact of DA on their children and work with the whole family to help & suport them to rebuild their relationship. Children are offered a safe space to explore their feelings, to help them to understand and process, and they also have access to individual (or sibling groups) therapeutic support.

We are grateful for any donations of any size so that we can continue to fund our services to support and help as many children and families as possible.

If you would like more information about any of our services, or would like to contact us for, please see our website: jltsfamilyservices.org.uk/
