Inspirational Teen with Cerebral Palsy cuts her hair off!!! Hello I’m Jessica. I was born with Cerebral Palsy. Since the start of the Covid Pandemic I’ve had a really big orthopaedic operation to help straighten my foot so that I can continue to stand and walk short distances.

It was during my stay in hospital that I decided that I want to donate my hair to a well-known UK based Childrens charity who make wigs for children who need them. I also want to raise money to help support the work of South Manchester Down Syndrome Support Group, a charity that supports families of children with Down syndrome. This is a charity that supported my family after my little brother Harry was born with Down Syndrome in 2014.

I also want to raise money for Jump Space. Jump Space is a rebound therapy and trampolining centre for children and young people with disabilities. I have attended Jump Space for over 10 years and it is with them that I learnt how to bounce on a trampoline. I hope to return to Jump Space now that my foot has recovered and once the Lockdown restrictions start to lift. Jump Space is more than just a sports facility to me as they have provided me with opportunities to work with younger children with disabilities by offering me a chance to volunteer and continuing to support me.

Please sponsor me to cut at least 16 inches / 40cm off my hair. I will donate my hair to a well-known UK Children’s charity who make wigs for children who need them. I will use my sponsorship money to help support the work of South Manchester Downs Syndrome Support Group and Jump Space rebound therapy centre.
