    Story

"Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today, cos if you do it today and find you like it, you can always do it again tomorrow"
Since she was 90 Kate travelled to over 90 countries. She saw life, lived life and experienced it all. A real "people person"
However during the last few years of her diagnosis of vascular dementia and then during the last six moths being bed ridden she felt very strongly that if she could help others and in particularly the carers she would like to.She left £100 to start "Kate Cares".
"Who looks after the carers". She was fully aware that without carers most people would end up in a carehome or hospital.
Recently she has been the motivation for her son with the help of many others to organise a "Memory Walk" for the Alzheimer's Society. It was to honour her now it will be to remember her. Sat 22nd Oct11.30am/12 noon. 1/3/5 miles
    sudurymemorywalk.eventbrite.co.uk
To date over150 will be walking for themselves, those they remember and a future without dementia. As well as for Kate.
Many local and National Charities are involved too from an awareness perspective
SSLeisure, Sudbury Town Council, Suffolk County Council, Suffolk Family Carers, Dementia Awareness Programmes, YMCA. CareUK, The Bridge Project, Sue Ryder, Synergy Café, WSVAB, Beat the Streets, Suffolk Bereavment Support, Richmond Fellowship, Waitrose and Sainsbury's.
Everyone agrees that there is a need for a cares group locally and they are willing to help but it always comes back to the same restrictions funding.
Don't" Talk the Talk, Walk the Walk" join us to raise awareness of this issue and if you wish to help in a financial way then try to help raise the funding by supporting the CrowdFunding for KateCares
Anyone that knows Kate from her travels, a local land lady, member of various local groups or just wishes to say goodbye to a lady with style and a great sense of humour then you are welcome to attend her funeral on Nov7th @ 2pm.Three Counties CremCM75PB

I can not ask any more to those of you that have helped to get KateCares off the ground and I am convinced it will happen, eventually, the need is there; now I have to get the right other parties that can deliver to do so, thank you. Some of you that I know can not attend Kate's finale but just one last request if you can help me to encourage a few people to attend I would be eternally greatful. Mon Nov 7th 2pm Three Counties Crematorium, Halstead Road High Garrett Braintree CM7 5PB Thank you

No one seems to bother about lots of things. My mum, Kate, was always aware and kept saying no one ever looks after the carers. Another letter from the DWP with a phone number for "Cruse Bereavment Care" an 0844 which is a premium number, so those that need help can not afford to possibly get it. Make my Mothers finale a great day for 100 years she gave a lot if you can give back just a little come to her funeral, a celebration of her life Mon Nov 7th 2pm Three Counties, Crematorium, Braintree. CM7 5PB She deservers a great finale so do come

I went to a carers meeting today, Thursday 27th Oct; an hour each way by bus yet Sudbury is less than 10mins by bus so if there was a group in Sudbury it really would have made a difference to me. Since my mother died (10-09-2016) I really have felt very isolated with no help available or offered on my door step. Recently I have had a letter from the DWP telling me I will not be getting my carers allowance any more ,I have not had that since becoming a pensioner. Automated calls from the Hospital about an appointment that I cancelled for mum
