I'm Jennifer. I'm an American living in England.

I am disabled. I have lived here 8 years and have shared custody of my 7 year old little boy. My son is a British citizen. Due to mitigating circumstances, I was 3 weeks late reapplying for my Visa / leave to remain. Due to this all of my benefits were stopped. I will not be able to support myself and my son. I will not be able to survive. I have just been told that they will not release any money/benefits to me I have already been granted leave to remain which can take a year.

The home office has my paperwork and it is being processed. I have contacted my local MP Tobias Ellwood. But due to the hostility towards immigrants yes even Americans at the Home Office this can take a year.

I refuse to be another statistic
