Story

As part of my university degree course, I have opted to do my work placement abroad and chosen to go to Knysna, South Africa along with 11 other student volunteers, as I want to help the community's development and children's education and they have a fantastic pre school enrichment programme. I have plans to volunteer in a pre school, supporting children in their learning and personal growth.

Why I want to do this.

Based on my personal experiences as a child going to school, I have recognised that children can be labelled and even neglected in their education. I am passionate about teaching and learning. I am currently practicing teaching as part of my degree course and have a life long goal to help improve children's education.

I will also be volunteering with HIV awareness and community outreach, listening to sufferers and those affected and delivering relevant information about the disease.
