Story
My final push before my elective arrives!
Having been assigned the hospital I'll be working at, Effia-Nkwanta. The largest hospital in Ghana's western region, this hospital provides primary care for patients both near and far!
Although it is the largest, and covers a huge area, by no means do the resources match.
This crowd-funding page is to raise some money, big or small, to be able to buy medical supplies this hospital desperately needs. Things we use daily in our NHS and don't think twice about; gloves, aprons; soaps; alcohol gels etc.
The area's I'll be working in during my time there are Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Reproductive and Child Health (essentially a gynaecology unit), Accident and Emergency, Surgical and Trauma units. Areas which provide care to the most vulnerable patients.
Please help me to provide basic education on hand hygiene techniques which could potentially save lives.
Truly Grateful.
