The children get to design their own colours and patterns, and the team - Stephen Davies and Drew Murray - do the rest.

Demand is high, and the shed is full of photos of children from around the world wearing their distinctive design.

Steve said the children can pick any colours or themes they like, as the pieces are designed to reflect the character and personality of the child.

Born without a left hand, Steve understands the difficulties facing the children he helps.

He describes one of the first prosthetic arms he was given as ‘something out of a medieval torture chamber.’

He said his grim early experiences with prosthetics were his inspiration ‘to make things better.’

Remarkably, the price to create one of his specially designed arms is just £20, while complex bionic limbs can cost from £60,000 to £150,000.

Steve doesn’t charge children for his services and has even shared his designs online so people all over the world can benefit.
