When Mum passed away on 21st January we were unsure of which charity should benefit from a donation in memory of Mum - all worthy. It would have been Mum's 70th birthday on 20th February so I thought it is only fitting that the charity to benefit from this collection should be one that Mum had a passion for, making this donation - in a small way a 70th Birthday present for her.

Every year when Mum and Dad (Jan & Dave) went on holiday it would have to include a trip to a Zoo, a Safari Park or animal park.

For mum seeing monkeys was at the top her to see list.

She watched Monkey Life on tv religiously. She admired how they rescue unwanted, abandoned, neglected or ill-treated primates, and how they educate the public on conservation and all other matters concerning non-human primates.

My son Ash reminded us how much she loved her monkeys and the work that monkey world do and so with dad's encouragement we’re happy to raise funds for Monkey World. Especially during these particularly difficult times when the park is closed, they are relying on the generosity of the public to help get them through these hard times.
