As many of you know, Majella was diagnosed with breast cancer four years ago.

She had surgery and chemotherapy and was fortunate enough to receive fantastic care, thanks to the medical insurance cover provided by her job.

Unfortunately, this cover is now no longer available to Maj, and on 2nd January she was told that the cancer has returned. It has now spread to her her bones, liver, and lungs.

Majella, who is determined to fight on, will now have to undergo further chemotherapy on a weekly and ongoing basis.

We are reaching out to friends and readers of this page, to donate and help Majella through this gruelling treatment and months ahead.

Current financial difficulties mean that she has been forced to sell her beloved home and this will no-doubt add further stress.

Majella’s cancer is not curable, but there are many treatments out there, some available on the NHS but others are not.

We're raising money for Maj, so that we can support her cancer management with treatments and therapeutic routes not available on the NHS and help her whilst she is not able to work.

This picture was taken a year and a half ago after Maj's swim in the Serpentine, where she was raising money for other cancer sufferers, despite being in the midst of her own troubles.

That's her all over- always putting others before herself.
