I'm raising £500 to raise funds for Elvington CofE Primary School to provide enrichment activities, resources and facilities for our amazing pupils!

I last had the privilage of running the London Marathon in 2015. It was an event of mixed emotions as after I had collected my bib, a few days before the event, I had a call to say that my dad had had a sudden heart attack and was unconcious in hospital. With my family‘s blessing I ran on the Sunday and was proud to finish . Sadly, my dad died later that week without regaining conciousness and he certainly will be in my thoughts whilst running the course this year.
My dad was a teacher and a deputy head for over 30 years, and he would be delighted that I am running to raise funds to enrich the educational experience of all the pupils who attend our wonderful school.
I am planning many events which will involve parents and pupils including tying my run and training into our values including Perseverance, Hope and Friendship , building mind set with resiliance and celebrating all that makes us unique and special.
I look forward to keeping you updated with how my training is going and I promise, if I can walk, I will finish
