    Story

Little Heath School is a special school for secondary age pupils with a range of learning difficulties and communication needs, including autism. We are based in the London Borough of Redbridge and have 165 pupils on roll. Our budget pays for our staff, buildings and learning resources. After that there isn't much left over.
We need support to pay for the extras that will really make learning at Little Heath a special experience. Things like an outdoor trampoline ... or a high-sided slide for our adventure playground ... or creating a new soft play area for some of our younger pupils ... or helping develop an outdoor learning space ... or a sensory garden ... or start a fund for a new minibus ... or send some of our pupils off to a national disability sporting event ...
I am running THREE half marathon races to attract your sponsorship. I've done the Vitality North London (March) and the vitality Run Hackney (8 May). Next up is the Hitchin Hard Half Marathon (26 June). A total of 39.3 miles or 63.3 km with hundred of miles of training behind each race. Please help us achive this target. The pupils of Little Heath will love it!

You can donate online via the link or by cheque (payable to 'Friends of Little Heath') or cash via the school, providing your details.

I did it! I finished the Hitchin Hard Half Marathon, one of the hilliest races in the country, in 1 hour, 48 minutes and 34 seconds, placing 108 out of 247 finishers. It was hard work but the weather was perfect and the task made easier by the company of other, like-minded runners enjoying the course. Please don't forget that you can still donate via this page for another 13 days. So, give generously!

Tomorrow is the big day. The Hitchin Hard Half Marathon is here! Let's hope all my hours and kms of training pay off and that the weather treats us kindly. Please donate and continue to support the Friends of Little Heath in their work, raising funds and organising events for the benefit of the young people of our wonderful school. It's a great cause and we need every pound and every penny you can give.
