Story
At the age of 12, my wife Jade unexpectedly suffered from acute transverse myelitis, a rare condition which left her paralysed and in a wheelchair. Since then, despite her determination to live a normal life, she has endured many limitations, a major one being that it's impossible for her to ever leave the house on her own.
We have two young children to whom Jade is an amazing Mummy, however there are so many everyday things that Jade would like to be able to do, but can't. Things like taking our son to nursery, taking the children to the park, popping to the shops etc, all of which she is unable to do because of the limitations of her wheelchair.
Having seen an advert for an “all-terrain, off-road, wheelchair", Jade recently tested the "Trekinetic GTE" which was totally incredible & would open up a whole new world of independence & opportunity for her. It would enable her to travel independently regardless of the terrain (for the first time in 18 years) & make a huge difference to family life (https://trekinetic.com).
During her “test-drive” Jade said, “It’s so strange that I don’t have to look at the floor for pot-holes. For the first time ever I can just enjoy my surroundings and have independence.”
The full cost of this wheelchair for Jade, with everything she would need, is £12,840, which as a family we simply couldn't afford. If you are able, we would be so grateful if you could contribute to the cost of this and help change the lives of our young family. No sum is too small and your help would make such a massive difference to us.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and if you're happy to share it, it would be hugely appreciated!
