My best friend Jade and her husband got married 4 years ago. He has a son from a previous relationship. They have been trying for a baby since they got married. Sadly, it just hasnt happened for them and due to having a step son the NHS wont fund Jade in her journey to becoming a Mum. So after 4 years, hundreds of tests, handfuls of disappointing phonecalls and consultations and with the support of their family and friends, they have decided the only way to attempt having a baby together is via IVF.

Its not been completely plain sailing through all of the medical assessments, Jade has hit a few snags along the way, which is another reason why this process has taken 4 years to assess and is difficult to understand why they are not good candidates for the NHS. However, these are the circumstances they find themselves in and therefore it is important to keep this journey going for them.

Jade has been my best friend for the best part of 20 years and we have seen the ups and downs and always been there to help each other out. Unfortunately, this is one that I am unable to help with, apart from support and doing my part now to help raise the funds to get them started in their journey. We are all behind them and they would be the most incredible parents, we just want to help them have that chance.

I can‘t write in words how it would feel for them if we managed to raise the money. Jade and her husband would be incredibly overwhelmed and humbled at peoples kindness and generosity. They are both very grounded people, both kind, caring, considerate, both work full time and have a house together, Daniels son, and 2 dogs.
