Story
Later this year, I am taking on two major endurance events to raise vital funds for a fantastic local organisation, Running Head First CIC.
On the 11th of October 2026, I will run the Chester Marathon, followed just over a month later by the Wirral Winter Ultra, on the 14th of November.
Combining a gruelling 26.2-mile marathon with an almighty ultra-marathon, in the winter, will be a massive physical and mental test, but it is a challenge I am fully committed to, for a cause that does incredible work in our community.
Running Head First is a Wirral-based CIC, dedicated to supporting the mental wellbeing of people in the area through putting on a series of physical health classes and programmes such as affordable fitness, over 65's chair based classes, menopause workshops, running clubs and more.
Their work genuinely changes lives, helping people navigate difficult moments, adopting healthier lifestyles and making connections too.
This facility is vital, but keeping these specialised sessions running and accessible to everyone requires ongoing support. The funds raised will go directly towards keeping these programmes going, ensuring the community can continue to benefit from this essential resource.
Every donation to this page goes to supporting Running Head First CIC and is hugely appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
Jacob
