My name is Jack, I am an 18 year old transgender male, and I am making this just giving page to help me pay for my top surgery, to alleviate some of my gender dysphoria.
I have been waiting for an appointment with the adult NHS gender services, but unfortunately the service is underfunded and staffed, and wait times for just an initial appointment with them can be years, and even longer to get a surgery referral and then go onto the surgeons waiting list.
This isn't a surgery that I can wait this long for and, for this reason, I have decided to go with a private surgeon, Dr Miles Berry in London, for my surgery, with whom I have a consultation booked for April this year.
The cost of the surgery is going to be £7000+ (not including travel and accommodation).
I have been working hard to try and earn this myself, but as the date gets closer I fear I will not be able to cover it alone, so any help, no matter how small, towards the cost would mean the world to me. Its absolutely fine if you can't or don't want to donate, even just sharing this would help me a lot.
