Those of you who know me, know I’ve been a life long fan of our beloved local football club, Whitby Town FC.

Unfortunately, this season the club has had 12 of their matches (26%) postponed due to the water logged pitch. This has really financially impacted the club due to weekend fixtures, with good gate receipts, being moved to mid-week games and threatening the sustainability of the club.

To help with this cause, I’m going to be running 108 km / 67 miles over 2 days, round the perimeter of the Isle of Wight, and aiming to raise £10 for every mile covered.

This will be the equivalent of 2.55 marathons and by far the longest distance I've ever attempted… let’s hope the 10 months of training holdout 🤞
