My son Jake has been travelling around Cambodia & Thailand over several months. He is a young sensitive and caring 23 year old boy.

Yesterday he was travelling pillion on the back of a motorcycle when a vehicle came round the corner on the wrong side of the road hitting the bike.

Jake was involved in a hit & run, where he was thrown under the oncoming vehicle and was left for dead at the side of the road and was not breathing.

His friend who was driving the motorcycle, approached Jake and attempted mouth to mouth resuscitation but as he was in a state of distress and panic was not doing this correctly.
A Russian woman heard the accident and came and took over carrying out the resuscitation correctly - she called the ambulance and basically saved his life.

Jake was admitted to Phuket International Hospital and following a CT scan was diagnosed with serious head injuries, a bleed to the brain & a fractured femur.

The hospital staff stated they could not operate until they received payment.

I contacted the Travel Insurance - INSUREANDGO - who refused to take any action until they had spoken to Jake himself.
I advised of the seriousness of the accident & that he was in & out of consciousness, plus he had been administered Morphine to relieve symptoms of horrific pain.

Following several long conversations with the Insurance company -INSUREANDGO- they have refused to pay for the treatment, in fact there was no support or compassion displayed.

Plus he has not received any blood transfusions although he has continued to lose blood 12 hours after the accident occurred.

In the meantime Jake is still in the hospital bed, in pain & the risks that are involved with him not receiving treatment, still remain. Losing his leg, sepsis and death.
