The Iyla Rose Foundation is a non-profit organisation with a purpose to provide funds for children and families with additional and complex needs. We are a group of people who are located in the West Midlands who have come together as volunteers.

Meet Iyla the inspiration for the Foundation - Iyla is a beautiful 7 year old little girl who we are blessed to be able to have in our family.

She never ceases to amaze us and we often wonder where she finds her strength, courage and determination from.

The daily struggle for Iyla and her immediate family is real and does get very stressful. She battles daily with uncontrollable epilepsy which as well as having medication to help she is also on a Ketogenic diet which means each meal can become a challenge. Iyla also has Cerebral Palsy, Sensory Processing Disorder, Hypotonia, Hypermobility, Periventricular Lukomialacia and her most recent diagnosis is she has a SYNGAP MRDS Chromosome Mutation.

All of these different diagnosis' affect Iylas everyday life. Iyla is non-verbal but has the amazing ability to sign to us and she is unable to walk unaided and uses a wheelchair.

Even having to go through all of her difficulties and regular hospital appointments she is always smiling and happy.

As a family we are trying to raise awareness and highlight Iyla conditions in hope of helping other children and families.

She is an incredible little girl who has the ability to brighten the room with her smile. She is quite literally one in a million and a beautiful, brave little lady which I have the privilege and honour to call my niece.

The Foundation was founded in April 2017. Iylas mum, Sam mentioned the idea of fundraising for others to close friends and family. She was so overwhelmed by all of there support and ideas that the Iyla Rose Foundation was born.

Our aim is to help as many children and families as we can, by providing specialist equipment, having a hub to share much needed information and support the battles parents and carers face.
