Our news on the transmission failure is not good. It seems that the equipment which failed will need to be completely replaced, and that the lead time waiting for the replacement part could be up to eight weeks. This in itself is a costly business, but we also have to make the decision whether to use temporary hire equipment to get back on air in the meantime. If we do that, there will be additional hire costs, and engineers' time, to get this installed.

We are currently considering our options. We hope listeners appreciate that, although we are all volunteers, we have a genuine commitment to our broadcasting and are truly frustrated to be off the air. We have programmes, interviews, news and lots of great music ready to share with you, and we want to be able to do it.
