Story

Irene is an award winning qualified nurse from a humble beginning. She worked through challenging situations in Ghana and the UK. As an international student in the UK, when her support from Ghana failed, she remained enthusiastic about continuing her education. She worked through nights and weekend jobs to pay her fees of over £20,000.00 often with no fixed abode. Irene nearly missed her graduation but thanks to an employee of a charity organisation who came to her aid and absolved her outstanding fees of £250 that almost expelled her from her graduation ceremony. Her experience rekindled her passion to support deserving students in similar predicaments to make a difference in their lives.

Now a senior nurse, Irene believes that her education has helped her through difficult times and is passionate to support others who find themselves in similar situations. Irene firmly believes that education is the key to overcoming poverty and an opportunity for a better future. She is therefore passionate about helping those who without our help could find life very difficult.

For the price of a cup of tea per day you could make a significant difference in people's lives.
