I Started painting during Covid, but when Mick Took his life on 12.2.21 my life changed, although our time together was only 17 months it was like a lifetime to me, together we found our peace in walking, & Mick had a special bond to Pen y Fan , his Yem, a place where he found peace.
When I paint I try to capture as much detail as I can , for me when you look into a painting you want to imagine being there, every time you look at a new part you see something else, it helps to calm the mind & focus. Mick & I both found it helped us, and this is why I also continue to paint, it help me remember our good times walking & appreciate the love we had for the surroundings we were in & it helps me remember him .
I wanted to do something to keep his memory alive & raise some money for the SSAFA a charity he would approve of as Mick was an Army vetran & suffered with PTSD, this charity helps all the forces, also the National Trust to go to the pathways of Breacon to help continue to maintain them for others to walk on & enjoy the wonderful views.
The proceeds will be split between the two causes 10% will go towards materials for me to continue to create another painting .

I wanted to put my painting in a Draw rather than sell, as I cannot put a price on it, to me it's priceless, so I want everyone to have the chance to own it & felt better to put it in a Draw, I hope the person who does win it will love it as much as I do & it will be loved and help them to.
The draw date at the moment will be June 18th . Micks birthday. I am placing a reserve of £350.00 on it and if this is not reached I will extend the draw.
