I'm raising £100 to remember lifelong Newport County supporter John Williams, raising money for the next generation of people gaining a benefit from football.

On Friday 27th December, John Williams, a Newport County supporter from Bridgend, sadly passed away.
A dear friend said, "I have attended County matches all around the UK with John, and stood with him at home matches in Moreton, Gloucester, Spytty and Rodney Parade for about 30 years".
Linda, John's wife, in lieu of flowers, would like to support a charity that represented John's passion and love for sport. The chosen charity will be County in the Community.
County In The Community (CITC) use the power of sport, education and training to engage with all members of the community in South East Wales - regardless of age, ethnicity, physical ability or economic status. Through the delivery of our various projects we aim to change lives, inspire sport/physical activity participation, improve health/wellbeing and build greater community cohesion.
CITC was established in September 2013 when Newport County AFC gained football league status. In June 2015 County in the Community became a registered charity.
We at CITC feel honoured that our charity has been chosen in memory of such a dedicated and well loved man, John.
