Freya, Megan, Sian and Amelia are all travelling the Adelboden in Switzerland with Newark District Scouts. In order to make the most of the trip they are committed to raising funds towards the activities they can take part in while there. These could include zip wires, a day out in Thun visiting the Castle, a cable car ride, activities at the international Scout Centre, with Scouts from around the world and a 2 day expedition to stay overnight in a mountain hut!! Plus walks up the mountains and visits to fantastic waterfalls, glacial lakes amongst other things.

Newark District Scouts are an amazing, inclusive organisation who build confidence in children to do things they may not even consider if it wasn't for their support. And each group is run by some amazing volunteers, some of whom will accompany the Scouts to Switzerland.

Freya, Megan, Sian and Amelia will be walking approximately 20km from Collingham Scout Hall to Flintham Scout Hall on Friday 14th April 2017.
