Story

Ilminster is a fantastic place to live, but we believe it can become a more sustainable community too, helping people and planet by making better use of the resources we already have available, both the things we own and the skills we possess. The Ilminster Share and Repair Shop is the latest project to be launched by Green Ilminster, in conjunction with local partners. It aims to provide a not for profit share and repair service on the high street, reducing the over consumption of items that may be required just a handful of times throughout the year, and fixing others(in exchange for a donation) to prolong their life and save them from landfill.

This fundraiser seeks to establish a new Share and Repair Shop, providing the first 6 months worth of running costs to prove the concept and develop a more sustainable operating model.

If you would like to find out more, or offer your time and skills to this venture, then please contact Green Ilminster via email greenilminster@btinternet.com or via the Green Ilminster Facebook Page.
