Story
From September 2019, Ian Murray, our much-loved and highly regarded English and Media teacher, had been asked to establish and develop a new GCSE Media Studies course. Ian was extremely excited and inspired about this initiative with many ideas to make it a success.
Ian was passionate about the place of Media Studies in the 21st century curriculum and this was to be an important addition to our provision at Gillingham School.
Tragically following the sudden death of Ian in November 2018, his wife Jo has asked that if anyone would like to make a donation to support the resourcing of this exciting new course, they can do so here.
It is our hope that monies raised will allow Gillingham School to set up a new, well-provisioned course that provides the best possible opportunities for all of our students along with a fitting tribute to Ian's memory.

The sad loss of Ian Murray will have hit all pupils of Gillingham School hard. Ian's family must be devastated - I know his friends are. Having a memorial like this will be a fitting tribute.
