I've raised £1000 to Wildlife Sense, for the science-based conservation of sea turtles in Kefalonia, Greece.

Island2island Art 2021 and artist Susan Clare have partnered to donate to the Society for the Sea Turtles of Kefalonia in support of:
- the rescue and rehabilitation of sea turtles that are found injured in Kefalonia - raise public awareness about sea turtles through the creation of an educational centre about sea turtles.
Wildlife Sense is a research and conservation project to study and protect Kefalonia's threatened loggerhead sea turtles buy monitoring and recording nesting sites, hatching movements and harmful pollution that is endangering the species.Their reseach of the coastal ecosystem is important to preserve and protect the turtles and to inform national and international strategies of environmental importance.
Donate to the turtles and join Susan's mailing list to enter our giveaway to win a fabulous turtle print of Susan's orginal painting!
Prize draw will take place at the closing of the exhibition on 10/10/2021 (entry to prize draw is closed after this date).
Susan Clare is an international, award-winning artist, whose first career was in scuba diving in Jamaica. Protection of the coral reefs and their inhabitants has always been foremost in her motivation, throughout her adult life. So why support the turtles in Kefalonia? Apart from it being a great organisation, Susan's goddaughter, Jamaican-born, Annya, has been working with Wildlife Sense for about five years now, as a marine biologist. So it is in part, a tribute to Annya and her team's dedication and hard work. Also, helping turtles anywhere in the world is helping them all!
