Story
On Sunday 5 March 2023, Huddersfield and Ripponden Brass Band was awarded first place and the prize for best percussion at the Yorkshire Regional Brass Band qualifying competition for Section Three.
This achievement means that the band will be promoted to the second section from January 2024 and gained an invitation to represent Yorkshire in the National Finals in September 2023 taking place at Cheltenham racecourse.
We are fundraising to cover the considerable costs of our upcoming trip to Cheltenham which include transport, accommodation and entry fees.

1 year agoThank you all for your support. It is very much appreciated. Our final push on fundraising will take place at Golcar Con on September 2nd 7.00pm. Games night and drawing out winners of our Summer Prize Draw.

Huddersfield and Ripponden Brass Band is based in Golcar, Huddersfield and represents one half of the Huddersfield Youth Brass Ensemble Association. Originally called Huddersfield Brass, the band changed its name in 2006 following the merger with Ripponden Carriers Band.
