On Sunday 5 March 2023, Huddersfield and Ripponden Brass Band was awarded first place and the prize for best percussion at the Yorkshire Regional Brass Band qualifying competition for Section Three.

This achievement means that the band will be promoted to the second section from January 2024 and gained an invitation to represent Yorkshire in the National Finals in September 2023 taking place at Cheltenham racecourse.

We are fundraising to cover the considerable costs of our upcoming trip to Cheltenham which include transport, accommodation and entry fees.
