We will be setting out on the 22nd June 2017 from John O Grotes to Lands End, we are going to ride as a road bike relay team, first man will ride an 80km leg, then the 2nd man will ride the same and so on, so there is only ever one rider on the road at any one time. We are aiming to cover the distance in 48hrs or less, less would be good, we have had all the rules and verifications set and authorised by Guiness, so by doing this event, we will actually be setting a new Guiness World Record Relay Ride, rules are, road bike only, not Time Trial, No Aero bars, No Disc wheels, No TT Helmets, Strictly road bike. Each rider has to use the same bike for the whole event, No drafting of team car, each rider rides solo, we need to keep an avg speed of around 28kph constant, sounds easy,,, but its not. just the logistics alone is a challenge, bringing a support crew together, finding a motorhome for the riders, a support car, and funds for fuel, we want to set a new record as so others can break it, and this becomes an event in its self. We know the generosity of the public and hope people can help us achieve our small goal , it really does mean a lot to us, as this alone will cover all the fuel costings for the vehicles over 1700miles.
