Story

A large storage container full of Junior section training kit and equipment, Freezers full of food, our marquee and expensive building supplies for our ongoing extension were all destroyed when vandals broke in and set fire to the contents.

HRFC rely on much of the lost kit and equipment to provide training and matches for our 10 Junior section sides ranging from age 6-16. The freezers and contents were full ahead of a full schedule for Easter Weekend and will have to be replaced at significant cost, much of which is provided free of charge to players.

The building supplies were related to our ongoing development which has been self funded alongside community support from a range of local businesses to date.

We are aiming to raise £4000 which will replace the kit and equipment, freezers and contents and event marquee.

The most unfortunate part of all of this was the loss of 125 years of memorabilia from the club, ranging from shirts, programmes, visiting team Plaques which we will be unable to replace.

As a community sports club, we appreciate any support that can be given to get us back on track and teams playing rugby again following this act of vandalism.
