Story
Starting from Saturday 13th May, members of Homerton College Boat Club will be attempting to break a World Record on the Rowing Machine.
Students will hit the erg to try and beat the current Concept 2 World Record for the Longest Continuous Row on the rowing machine. Currently that stands at 3 days, 1 hour and 25 minutes, but we think we can do a lot better!
This fundraiser comes at an urgent time of need for the college as we look to repair and replace our current equipment. Much of our current stock is in bad condition, and over the next year we will have to replace blades, cox boxes, seats, and riggers amongst others.
Our target sum of £5000 will help us achieve all the repairs necessary for the coming year, to keep our club running and our members safe.
We are looking to purchase the following equipment
£40 - Loudspeaker
£60 - Buoyancy Aid
£100 - Blade handles
£200 - Strokecoach
£600 - Cox Box
£1000 - Subsidise gym membership for one year
£3000 - Set of 8 oars
Any donation, however small, will be appreciated, and if you happen to be in the area, do come down to Homerton College to support us in the Buttery!
